The Bodø Peninsula is being transformed..... Once again.

Flyfugl – Art in Placemaking is a project funded by KORO – Public Art Norway. Flyfugl invites artists, art consultants and curators to contribute to the development of Bodø’s new urban district: Hernes.

How have interactions between people and nature changed over the course of history? From the draining of wetlands to the creation of farmland, the establishment of a military base and a civilian airport, to the development of Hernes as a new urban district. During the coming decades, the area’s marine and terrestrial ecosystems will be transformed yet again. How will we curate this latest interaction in the context of today’s urban development?
